Okay ... the EOS 50D is no low-light king but noise is pretty low up to ISO 400 and still okay with ISO 800. A good lens is necessary to show what resolution the 15MP sensor can deliver. EOS 50D-  ISO 200 f 5.6  t 1/320 -1.7  fill flash 4.0/500mmIS + 25mm ext +0.7 stops in lightroom
